Welcome to the Gina Guthrie Scholarship Fund! Our mission is to award scholarships to deserving college students in memory of Gina Guthrie. Gina was a beacon of light to all who knew her and her passing from cancer in January of 2019 was a great tragedy. In order to keep her memory alive, this fund was started in her name with the goal of providing financial assistance to students in need. We awarded our first 2 scholarships in the summer of 2020 and have made 9 more awards since, bringing the total amount of scholarships provided to $27,500 in just 5 years. Please explore our site to learn more about Gina and her legacy, get to know our recipients, and donate to the fund to help other students live the dream life she had.
It's autumn once again, and as the leaves start to change we are set to make our annual fall award to a Kappa Delta from the University of Florida. We are currently taking applications, so please go to our "Applications" page for more info and to see if you qualify. We also want to congratulation Nicole Davila Carrera who was the recipient of our Spring 2025 Cabarrus County, N.C. high school scholarship award! Nicole is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Hickory Ridge High School who is currently attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. You can learn more about Nicole and read her winning essay on our "Recipients" page. While you're there you can also get to know Ashley Savigne who was the recipient of our Fall 2024 Kappa Delta scholarship. Please feel free to explore our website, and hit that "Donate" button if you want to contribute!

Gina's Life
Gina lived life to the fullest during her time with us. She graduated from the University of Florida, traveled the world, started her own business, and created a family full of love. Her life serves as an example to all of us on how one should live, love, and laugh every chance they get and to make the most of each moment.

If you are interested in donating or helping the fund reach its goals, please reach out to us and we will respond as soon as possible. Or, if you are a student and wish to know more about our scholarship availability and requirements, please send us an e-mail and we will fill you in on the process for applicants. Thanks!
